AIM_SHADOW by Dimension Studios

"Aim_shadow was one of the earliest projects we started at Dimension Studios. Originally bearing a very unattractive name "fy_zombie" this map experienced a number of transformations over the 6 months that it took to finally get it to public release. The map has been abandoned and then restarted numerous times in the production and has been a background side-project that nobody paid attention to until June 2006, when, Incoming Source mod showed active interest in the map and negotiated with us to obtain a copy of it to use in their official mod release. After that we pushed the project towards completion to make it available not just to the Incoming Source mod players but to the millions of Counter-Strike Source fans as well.

The map's gameplay has been thoroughly tested by our team and internal beta testers and we are proud to say we enjoyed it. Although not very large, the map's layout offers over 3 alternative waypoints at any point of the map. Navigation mesh has been carefully tuned to make sure that bots take full advantage of all the passages allowed by the layout.

While working on aim_shadow we particularly focused on trying to preserve the unique style and setting it had since we decided on its layout. That's one of the reasons why so many versions of it got rejected. The final version of aim_shadow represents a mixture of spooky abandonment and ruin, with shiny futuristic technology.

Aim_shadow features 64 spawn points, HDR lighting capability, a hand-tuned nav, and a custom soundscape for better ambience, and sets a new benchmark for all our upcoming Source map releases.
